Xobni for Outlook, Going Live Facebook
A few days ago, Facebook has added some features like to receive status updates by SMS, and then there was talk of releasing the API. Something happened yesterday and today, just a few hours after that, we already have the first application that uses this: Xobni for Outlook.
Xobni is a plugin for Outlook which we have spoken more than once here in MillionMark, and to be fair I must say that the function that gives the mail client Microsoft is great. And it allowed us to see some information from Facebook, such as images or profiles, but now we can get updates of all our contacts in real time.
Now, we can navigate between updates of our contacts, and comment, or voting positive all from Outlook. For those using the Microsoft implementation of a daily basis due to their work, to have this opportunity is invaluable and will allow a much greater use of time.
We have seen several ways to take Facebook to the desktop, as Visualsage, Facebook Desktop, Desktop Seesmic or FBLook. But perhaps this is of Xobni which has better opportunities, to integrate an application such as Outlook for mass use.
