Simplify Music 2.0: Share Music LAN/WAN for iPhone, iPod, Linux, Mac, Windows

Apr 30th, 2009

simplify-mediaSimplify Music 2.0 is an application that provides us with the task of sharing music over a local network or Internet, and that it meets its goal of being truly cross-platform, with versions for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and even devices like iPhone, iPod, Roku or Xbox 360.

As for how to share music, Simplify Music 2.0 is compatible with several applications: iTunes, Winamp or Windows Media Player in Windows, iTunes 7 or 8 on Mac OS X and Linux Rythmbox (but only in Ubuntu).

Each platform has its own installer, which must be run. Then we must create an account Simplify Music, and create a list of authorized users to access our music (we can enter them ourselves to be accessed from another computer or operating system).

Then we set the folders you want to share, after which we let the application do its work and scan our collection, something that could take a while if we have a lot of music. Then, we are ready and we’ll see the list of users that can access our music, and even those who share music with us.

Simplify Music 2.0, it is a free application, and so is its use, although in the case of the iPhone version is currently $ 2.99 (due to its recent promotion launch), but in that brief price will rise to $ 5.99.
