OverDisk: graphically disk space

Apr 28th, 2009

overdiskOverDisk is a utility to display the free space we have available in our records, like DriveSpacio, Spaceniffer or FolderSize, of which we have already spoken, but if we insisted on a utility to show more of these because we liked the representation of the information provided.

At this point is that the applications that show the free disk space work in similar ways, and we know roughly what to expect. Therefore, if one is to get our preference has been for the way it represents information which is ultimately what helps people to understand that “beyond the area of our albums.”

OverDisk complies with, to show the structure of our disk-shaped layers, something that I find particularly useful for understanding how the folders are on a disc. Baobab offers something similar, which is for Linux, and therefore wanted to show another application similar to Windows.

In addition, OverDisk is extremely fast, even process almost 1TB disks in a few seconds. And once we figure we can move the mouse pointer over the “lots” to see that this is folder. And when one is small for this we will be able to click on it to enter and view the subfolders in it.

OverDisk utility is a freeware and compatible with Windows Vista and XP.
