Opera Turbo Compression Technology for mobile Internet access
Opera Turbo is the name of the technology to the Norwegian company has developed to expedite and compress the navigation on mobile devices. In most primitive form, this technology has already been partially used for Opera Mini, but has now been improved and will be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The performance of Opera Turbo is as follows: When a mobile sends a URL request that is received by the company servers, which collect and compress the data, all in real-time transmitted to the client that has requested. All at a high speed which makes it almost imperceptible difference in time it can be to establish connection.
But if you notice, the difference will be downloaded to the mobile content, as the compression achieved is estimated to be around 80% faster. That not only has a clear benefit to the pockets of consumers, which will see traffic reduced greatly, but also for mobile phone companies, which currently are almost saturated due to high demand.
The good news is that Opera Turbo technology will be implemented for all users of Opera browsers, which of course includes desktop versions. Opera has always been at the forefront of technology, and this is another example of this, so that those who use the browser to switch to Firefox will soon see major developments.
