Mono 2.4 and MonoDevelop 2.0 released
Mono 2.4 has been officially launched, along with its development environment MonoDevelop, which arrives in this case to its version 2.0. Several developments in Mono, on higher speed and scalability, as well as support for SIMD and improvements in the management of threads and the DataGridView control.
MonoDevelop, in turn, promises a complete development environment for the operating system of the penguin, along with tools such as GTK libraries, to allow for rapid application development on Linux. Version 2.0 brings a new plugin with a debugger and athletic Vala, a programming language with syntax similar to C#.
MonoDevelop 2.0 is also present with an editor that mimics the characteristics of Vi, the publisher has legionnaire’s fans. But beyond that, there is now possibility of using two panels of editing, color schemes, and advanced editing XML code completion for C# 3.0.
The effort was worth it, but it was much thanks to the arrival .NET to Linux using Mono, we can see bright-applications like GNOME Do thrower or Banshee media player. And MonoDevelop met with the task of providing a programming environment, or IDE, for advanced Linux.
