Firefox 1.0 RC for Mobile, available now
The Mozilla steps to launch its mobile browser are becoming larger, and it is now available the release candidate of Firefox for Mobile at the moment only for Maemo devices, the Nokia’s Maemo mobile platform.
Unfortunately means that only users of the Nokia N810 and N900 may prove, as they are the models with mini Linux distro based on Debian.
There is a development version for phones based on Windows Mobile, so may also prove more risky. But the interesting thing is that Firefox will support mobile extensions and SDK. It is available now to begin to develop under Linux, Windows and Mac OS X.
Firefox 1.0 RC for Mobile brings the same address bar of the desktop version, with its intelligent search of URL, tags and bookmarks, and a fully optimized for navigation screens (small) touch.
