EF Commander, free file manager alternative
We have talked on occasion of programs to replace the default file manager on your operating system, as PCMan, FreeCommander and muCommander, but today we will introduce an alternative, called EF Commander.
EF Commander could be defined as a complete file manager easy to use for novices, but with a lot of features that will delight the more advanced users.
Some of its more interesting features are:
* Provides a simple interface divided into 2 windows (Norton Commander style).
* Includes a player that can play MP3 files, Ogg / Vorbis, FLAC, WMA and WAV.
* Allows you to rename large numbers of files simultaneously.
* Let’s get thumbnails of our image folder.
* Provides the ability to burn CDs and DVDs directly from the browser by integrating with Nero
* Allows you to work with most popular compression formats: 7-Zip, ACE, ARC, ARJ, BZIP2, CAB, CPIO, GZIP, IMG, ISO (ISO9660), LHA, RAR, RPM, SFX, SQX, TAR, TBZ, TGZ, ZIP, Zip64 and ZOO.
* Allows you to preview many different types of images and videos can increase the number through plugins IrfanView and XnView.
* Provides an integrated FTP client with the possibility of restarting connections.
* Includes a text editor and hex.
* It allows large files from other smaller or unites.
* Allows you to verify checksums (Checksums) of the most common formats: SFV, MD5 and SHA1.
EF Commander is free in the version Lite version but there is another fee at a cost of 25 euros.
