Avast 5.0 has been released on this day, with several interesting features and a new design that radically changes and leaves the modern style that was too far and for many it was too heavy and complex, while optimizing on great shape, occupying far fewer resources.
All versions of Avast have freeware and payment options and this is no exception: Avast! Internet Security 5.0 costs $59.95 and offers antivirus and antispyware, rootkit detection in real time, firewall and spam filters and anti scam, and can be installed on up to three computers.
The free option is by far the most popular for obvious reasons, and yet offers very good potential of detection files (in addition to having greatly improved its performance and resource consumption) has a shortfall that the Pro version ($39.95) offers: sandboxing.
This spectacular new feature allows us to “isolate” the web browser, protecting it from any threat that may arise during our session, which adds an extra layer of protection that will be very useful in many cases, as when we give someone our computer.
